This "Black" 1979 280ZX 2+2 was developed by Nissan USA, as a prototype for what would become the 1980 "Black/Gold" marketing campaign. It was sold by Nissan USA directly to its current owner, and Bob Sharp gave the owner a set of Gold Gotti wheels.

The current owner worked for Nissan USA and Bob Sharp filming many of the video's you see of Bob and Paul Newman during their racing careers in the mid 70's to early 80's.

The current owner feels that it is time to let a few treasured personal possessions go, and he would rather see them go to good caretakers before he does. Reasonable offers will be considered - low ball'ers and delusionary dreamers will be ignored.

What is "reasonable"? Given current rates for restoring 31 year old vehicles, just for the usually necessary metal work and high quality paint jobs - A collector car of this quality and with this history - should easily bring $12K to $15K even in todays depressed market.
