Note 2: The Highest VIN we have recorded for a Series 1, 240-Z is HLS30 20438. The numbers reported by Nissan above would total 17,740. Additionally there were 543 HLS30 240-Z's produced in 69 and not reflected above for a total of 18,240. As Nissan started the Series II VIN's at HLS30 21000, it is most likely something over 20,000 Series I 240-Z's in both HLS and HS configurations were actually produced in 1970 for export.
